The Junior Strings serves as YOCVA's preparatory string orchestra. It develops beginning strings players and prepares them for future membership in the Evans Orchestra and Youth Symphony. This ensemble has rolling admissions throughout the year at the director’s discretion, and new musicians are welcome to join until March of the current season.

Emily Thomas Waters, Director
